Viktoria Plzen vs Kobenhavn

Viktoria Plzen made a great result in Denmark as they won 3-1 and now have a perfect chance to break into Champions League group stage. They didn’t start well in their domestic league with two wins, one draw and one loss. Only loss was away from home where they showed their vulnerability when playing away as they lost to Bohemians 1-2, team that never was real force in their league. Last weekend they made improvement as they won away against Dukla 4-2. Anyway, Plzen showed better face in Champions League qualifying rounds as they eliminated much weaker side Pyunik and made one of the bigger surprises as they won twice against Rosenborg (0-1 away from home and 3-2 at their stadium). In first game, Plzen played tactically perfect game as they pressed their opponents really hard defensivelly and played more then great on counter attacks.

 

FC Copenhagen made a perfect start of the season in domestic league with five wins and one draw. In Champions league they started from third qualifying round where they convincingly won over Shamrock Rovers 2-0 at home and 1-0 away from home.

 

It was clear during first leg that Danish side underrated Plzen a little, as they had to be much more sharper and to have better movement in offensive tasks.

 

Now, FC Copenhagen must attack from the very first minute and must try to be as effective as possible. We still think that this game is still not finished and that Danish side still have some small chances, but they will need to prove it on the pitch. However, this game looks like a great bet on over goals as Copenhagen will have to press from the very begining and focused much more on offensive then on defense they will surelly have good scoring opportunities. On the other side, Plzen already showed that they have great counter attacking tactics and they should be able to score a few too.
