Brann vs Viking

 

The norwegian "west-coast" - derby between SK Brann and Viking FK.

 

Brann was excpected to struggle at the bottom half before this season, but they are fighting among the top 4 instead. Right now they are in 4th place with 9-2-6 in total and key-players like Kim Ojo (a - 10 goals), Diego Guastavino (a - 6 assists) and Erik Mjelde (m - captain) have been the offensive force for Brann so far.

 

Brann has no injuries right now and can keep up their good work. They have not lost at home since the 25th of April this year, and have 5-1-2 so far at home in total.

 

Viking is a different story this year. Many saw them fighting for the title this year, before the season. They were last for a long time, but have got a better form recently and things starts to function. They are now in 12th place with 5-5-7, but got two straight victories at home now. Patrick Ingelsten (a) is out the whole season, while Tomasz Sokolowski (m) is doubtfult. Viking has 2-1-5 away from home so far.

 

If we looking at the head-to-head statistics, Viking has a upperhand with two victories in the three last meetings. It is a totally different story this season with Brann in 4th position and Viking at 12th position. Brann has 4-0-1 in their last 5 matches and they have been playing superb lately. Viking has 2-1-2 in their last 5 matches, but the two victories was at home and against weaker opponents than today. I think Brann will take revenge against their main rivals today and continue beeing in the title race.
