Braga have had an okay season domestically, they will be in next season's Europa League after finishing fourth and their run to the final in Dublin has mainly been based around solid defensive work, they have only conceded four goals in the eight matches they have played in the knockout stages. The problem here is that they have also only scored six goals in the same period.
While defensive hard work may be enough to get you to a final, it invariably is not enough to win the final as Rangers found out in Manchester when they faced Zenit St. Petersburg for the Europa League trophy - Rangers had kept a tight defence all the way through the tournament but in the final, when teams are at their best, they were not a match for the attacking talents of the Russians. The same thing will happen tonight. Braga will not match Porto for attacking talent.
Porto finished the league with a record of 30 played, 27 won, 3 drawn, 0 lost. Simply incredible. They scored over 70 goals in those 30 matches. In Europe they have continued that form and, as an example, have striker Falcao on 16 goals from 13 games in the Europa League. When you add Falcao and Hulk's goals for the season together you get a number the north side of 60!
Porto have too much attacking talent for Braga to cope with, particularly when it comes to a final where the Porto players will be far more comfortable with the pressure.
I reckon Porto will continue their hot goalscoring form, look for them to SCORE OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 3.2, 5pts Boylesports. Porto also tend to start early and can be WINNING AT HT & FT @ 2.2, 5pts PaddyPower.
