Newcastle vs Man. United

Simply put Wayne Rooney ALWAYS scores against Newcastle.

On the back of a poor run of tipping I'm trusting United's main man to get us back on the right track.

Despite having a bad start to the season, Rooney has ELEVEN goals for United in 2011.

Rooney has also scored a staggering NINE goals in his eleven appearances for Man Utd against Newcastle.

Man U's loss to City at Wembley at the weekend leaves them in the hunt for two trophies, the Premiership and the Champions' League. The Premiership is certainly the more attainable of the two and a win against Newcastle would put them massively in the driver's seat, so expect a big performance from them.

Okay, so all these stats point towards goals. When there are goals Wayne Rooney is usually not to far away. Despite Steve Harper being a doubt and a lack of firepower upfront I actually expect Newcastle to put in a bit of a performance on Tuesday night - however this doesn't mean they'll win.... and it certainly doesn't mean Rooney won't score.
