Celtic vs Rangers

Its the final of the league cup between the old firm and it should be a good game, the last match was electric, Rangers couldnt cope and had a few sent off and Celtic cruised to victory, Rangers had 1 shot on target!! a free kick in the dyin minutes, they will be out for revenge tomorrow but nothing i have seen from them makes me think it will happen.

Celtic are a very attacking team, Rangers like to soak up pressure and hit on the break but since Miller has gone they have been struggling for goals, they were lucky to beat St mirren last week and had a hard game against PSV on thursday night when exiting the Europa league.

This will be Celtics 1st trophy under Lennon, they will be missing CB Mastorovic but welcome back Wilson who could provide cover and the main man in midfield Scott Brown.

Celtic wealth of attacking options have undone Rangers the last couple of times they played them and i done think the defence will cope missing Bartley and with Weir in central defense who relys on positional play as his speed has gone as he is about 80 years old!!

Smith is a great Rangers manager but the squad is threadbare, i know with cup finals on a neutral ground anything can happen espicially in old firm games but i always prefer to back the team playing football and showing form and confidence and that is the Hoops, i believe they will win the cup and set a marker down that they intend to go on and capture the league as well.
