Mark Cavendish vs Stage Winner
Again this is a reasonably easy stage (Stage 5) and again like a glutton for punshment i am tipping Mark Cavendish.
I explained y'day that in my opinion Cav is the best sprinter on the planet and tipped him to win the stage....he got blown away and ended up sittin up not even challenging as he was well beaten.
I was checking internet sites to see if there was an explanation for this and havent seen a valid one, his team say he didnt have the proper lead out to catapult him to victory and also that it was a messy last kilometre but i dont buy that, i think if you are up there and on form then you should be winning. It does seem as if Cav is out of form but i am tipping this mainly on the price, it is too big and he could make a mockery of it tomorrow.
I am hoping he will find the form from last year to propel him to to victory today, the stage is pretty flat so again it will be hard for a break to escape and stay away and i believe it will be a bunch sprint and Cav can finally deliver though i am keeping the stakes small as i am going on reputation and not form but as i said, he was even money or less with most firms for y'days stage and i think this is too big a jump in price, he still deserves respect as he took 7 stages in the TDF last year!
