Premiership - West Ham v Birmingham City
The Hammers are win less in their last 5 matches and lost 2-1 to Burnley last week, the effort was there but the goal scoring touch was not and so this match is an interesting one for the Irons today, The Hammers at home have now won only one of their last 5 home fixtures and that win came 3 matches ago in a 2-0 win over Portsmouth, apart from that they have lost two and drawn the other 2 whilst allowing 7 and scoring 4 of their own, it should be said though that in their last 4 at home they have scored 4 while allowing 3 and have drawn their last home match with Rovers 0-0, The Hammers have new signings and seem to be on the rise but they just cannot seem to make any sort of advantage count and that does not bode well with this up coming match against Birmingham who are exceeding expectations and are still not losing their matches, the Hammers will have to watch out late in this game also as that is when the Blues seem to like scoring their game winning goals , Personal wise and Franco, Gabbidon, Dyer, Davenport, BoaMorte and Hines are all out for this match.
The Blues came from behind to beat Wolves on the weekend but they could of not conceded that goal before half time for us at lest, however it wasn’t to be, but the come back was the stuff of dreams and you can be sure that after the loss to Chelsea to break their streak, the late goal to salvage a draw from Spurs and the 2 late goals to win their last match has them thinking that they are still in form and results tell you that they are also, They have only 1 loss from their last 5 matches while scoring 6 and allowing 6, On their travels and the Blues have lost only 1 of their last 5 away fixtures and of course that was to Chelsea, however wins against both Stoke and Everton and 2 draws to Notts Forest and Everton and they all seem to believe how good this team actually is this season, Personal wise and Parnaby, Tainio, Murphy, Carsley and O’Connor are all out for this match.

The Hammers have only beaten the Blues once in their last 3 home matches against them and a clear cut win for them today is hardly a banker either, The Hammers do though show up at home and will really feel that they deserved better than to lose against Burnley last weekend while Birmingham can feel good about themselves no matter what happens here tonight, but I reckon that a draw looks on the cards here and a low scoring one at that, West Ham will want to stop the un winning run but against this Blues side that is easier said than done and so I reckon a goalless draw or 1-1 draw is on the go here…Good Luck.
