Premiership - Sunderland v Wigan

Local derby of the North with both teams badly needing the points. Sunderland seemed so strong at the start of this season, while Wigan is still balancing on a tight rope between relegation and survival.

Experienced Steve Bruce is facing one of his former clubs (if he stays on the bench for another couple of decades, then we will be talking about which team is NOT his former club!) and possibly we can see 2 of his January signings on the field. Hutton & Benjani, someone to cut some balls & someone to put them in the net, sure Bruce knows better.

Wigan have to overcome the humiliating defeat from Notts County midweek but of course in the Premiership its a whole different story. No matter how excited i was with the prospect of Roberto Martinez coaching the Latics, I have to admit that he failed to inspire the club & if Wheelan decides to kick him out he could be wrong as Wigan sold all their good players last year, no wonder they r struggling now.

I am going with the home boys on this one very confidently, with more than fair odds. Wigan will be more than happy if they manage to get a point on this one but I reckon they will lose this one. Good luck this weekend to all of u with your thoughts.
