Premiership - Birmingham City v Wolves
Birmingham are in 8th spot on the EPL table on a massive 34 Competition points and are likely well clear of any real danger come seasons end, now it is a matter of whether they can keep the good vibes rolling and just keep on coming up with good performances, last weekend they again played well and although they grabbed a draw that they might not have deserved you can’t fault their effort as it lasted the entire match and that is what earned them that point. At Home this season and the Blues have been great and their last 5 there have been no exception to that rule, they are unbeaten in their last 5 at home in all competitions drawing 3 and winning 2 whilst scoring 5 whilst allowing only 3, their overall form remains good despite the loss to Chelsea to break their unbeaten sequence of matches 2 games ago now, The more points they can put up the better they look for next season and players will want to play there based on form this season and after not being able to sign any big names in the transfer window the Blues need to keep coming up with solid performances to show that coming to their club is not in vain to make up the numbers but other things could come their way should they come to the club, Personal wise and the Blues new signings in Gardner and Michel are in frame for selection but otherwise they remain the same.
Wolves earned a point last weekend against Hull but this is a far harder task against a Blues outfit who do not give up much at all at the back, they are win less in their last 5 matches in all competitions but they do have a habit of picking up draws with 3 in their last 4 matches, away from home and in their last 5 and Wolves have only 1 win and that was 3 games ago in the FA Cup against Tranmere, they have scored 4 goals in their last 3 away fixtures but those came against Palace mid week in the FA Cup match,2 against Hull last weekend and the one against Tranmere but they failed to score in their previous 2 EPL Fixtures against United 3-0 and Liverpool 2-0, Personal wise for Wolves and Doyle, Ward and Jarvis are back after being rested mid week but Edwards, Keogh, Kightly and Maierhofer are all still out.

The Blues managed to pull out a draw for us last week and I reckon that is the likely result again here today, Wolves are not easy to beat and are on an upward trend in their last 5 matches in certain ways, while for the Blues anything but a loss would suffice, Birmingham are still a good looking side and they never gave up last weekend against Spurs while the same can be said of Wolves who twice came from behind to draw with Hull, I reckon this is a pretty even match here and although the Blues have been solid this season especially at home I feel that Wolves are more than capable with the form that they are in right now to get something from this match, maybe not a clear win but at least a point , However I am looking for some value here and I’m going for the draw at half time with Birmingham to win it in the second with their never say die attitude, 2 of the Blues last 5 matches have been goalless at half time while 3 of their last 4 at home have also been goalless at half time, while for Wolves 4 of their last 5 have been drawn at half time while 3 of their last 4 away matches have been also, I see some value in that and perhaps 0-1 goals in match…Good Luck.
