Premiership - Burnley v West Ham
Burnley still sit well down the EPL ladder in 19th place but are only 2 points behind the Hammers and would love to swap places with them on the table with a win today, but that is far from an easy assignment and unless they can win this game this season will really be looked as as the season of lost chances as they have performed well especially at home but they just cannot seem to win enough games to make that count, the Clarets are win less in their last 4 fixtures and have scored only 1 goal while allowing 7 in their last 4 fixtures, however it should be said that 3 of those losses came in 3 away matches , at home though and the Clarets have drawn 4 of their last 5 all 1-1 scorelines with Bolton, Arsenal, Fulham and Villa which does give a good indication as to how they are going and at home it is fair to say pretty well despite the loss to Chelsea last time out there, Personal wise for Burnley and they have some new signings available this weekend with Nimani, Fox, Cork, Nugent, Cort and Weaver all available this weekend and so we should see some changes as Alexander, McCann, Jordan and Caldwell are in doubt for this match.
Meanwhile West Ham are looking better although last week against Rovers they looked lifeless but the good news for them is that they have a couple of new signings and their away form has actually been half decent and they have picked up 2 draws in their last 2 away fixtures against Portsmouth and Villa and although draws are not what they are looking for any points including a single one has to be reason for happiness as any point is better than nothing,, Not losing is also a good feeling and they will know that sooner or later they will win one of these matches, Personal wise and new signings Benny McCarthy, Mido and Ilan are all in contention for this match as is Carlton Cole which does give the Irons some real attacking options while Parker and Ilunga are ready to resume playing also.

Burnley were in that match against Chelsea last time out but ended up losing, while the Irons looked pretty bad against Rovers with little in the creating department, but they do seem to play far better away from home drawing 5 of their 11 away matches this season with Burnley also drawing 4 of their 11 Home matches this season, Burnley are hard to beat at home but I feel like the Irons could just get up here for a point or maybe even a surprise win and as I listen to my “Best of Cockney Rejects” album and listen to them belt out “I’m forever blowing Bubbles” in a great song I feel inspired and if that can do that for me, then it must be able to do something for the Mighty Hammers and I feel a draw is on the cards here….Good Luck.
