Premiership - Man. United v Portsmouth

United are on fire and thumping in goals from every where, meanwhile Portsmouth are losing but sure are trying hard…..

United are on fire but nothing can last forever and this match for me looms large for them, they are expected to win this match and they likely will but after 3 big games in their last 4 against Man City twice and Arsenal they could be forgiven for viewing this match as an easy win and I really don’t think it will be at all, United have scored 14 Goals in their last 5 fixtures while allowing only 4 and at home the Red Devils have knocked in 15 while allowing only 2 in their last 5 at Old Trafford and so everything about them seems to be in great shape heading into this match, Personal wise and as you would think a few changes have come into the side with Giggs and Valencia likely to start and Vidic could also be in for this match but Hargreaves and O’Shea are still no closer to making a return.

Portsmouth are trying their guts out but are just not getting anything from their matches, Mid week they had chances against Fulham and couldn’t take them against Man City last weekend they were good but let 2 in and the game was lost, they just cannot seem to score but I do think that once they do and win a game they could go on a run but that is unlikely to happen today though is it? Portsmouth sit dead last on the EPL Table and unless something amazing happens for them they are gone from the EPL, Financial troubles also mean they are likely gone anyway and new owners every couple of weeks likely isn’t helping either, they are trying hard but luck it would seem is really not on their side, Personal wise and Dindane, Yebda and Belhadj should all play as should Kanu but again Diop and Brown are missing.

I have to say I am feeling sorry for these Pompey Players who are trying really hard but just not getting any results, game after game they show up and time and time again they find new ways to not score goals, The effort is there though and they will I think show up again today in this match, United can’t go on thrashing sides forever and although I think they should be firm favs in this match I also think that it won’t be as easy as some might think, I also think that Portsmouth likely won’t score either and so a 2-0 or 3-0 win for United looks to be on the cards and I’ll go for that….Good Luck.
