Bolton lost to the Reds in their last match but they did create some real chances , they just couldn’t take them, while Fulham still look lacklustre even though scrapping past Pompey……

Bolton went down to Liverpool last weekend but they did create some chances and at times looked great, but with no reward, this match looms large for them as they are in trouble on the table and need points to get out of the hole they have found themselves in Bolton might sit in 18th place on the EPL ladder but their play of late has ben encouraging, they have been scoring goals all season long and even last week created enough chances that they should of taken so you can see the talent and drive is there just not being fully utilised as yet, Bolton have scored in 4 of their last 5 home matches racking up 9 goals while allowing only 4, 2 to Hull and 2 to Arsenal, but they have not conceded at home in their last 2 fixtures against Burnley 1-0 and Sheffield United in the FA Cup 2-0, Personal wise for the Trotters and nothing has changed, there are no new injury worries and if anything things are looking very good in the player department right now which is a great sign for them.

Fulham were hardly great against Portsmouth even though winning the match, but if they play like that again today I really can’t see them winning this match, They may have halted the 5 match losing run but it was hardy decisive and injures are starting to Mount for them and things are not looking good, That lone goal against Pompey was their first in their last 3 EPL Fixtures and although it should of boosted the sides confidence they are still a long was off where they were earlier in this season, they have lost their last 4 away EPL Matches and have lost their last 2 2-0 to Spurs and Rovers and I think that could easily be the scoreline again today, Personal wise and it’s going from bad to worse for them as Johnson looks like he is out for some time if not the rest of the season and Konchesky, Dempsey, Davies, Paintsil and Gera are all still out also, which really does rip the life out of this Fulham side.

Fulham might have won Mid week against Portsmouth and many of you who chose them to win will feel good about that, but lets be honest, I read so much crap saying that Portsmouth were crap and the players were shit and it really makes me wonder as to if some of you actually watch these games because Portsmouth have been trying very hard, creating chances but just not getting the result, Fulham for me are still playing awful and although they beat Pompey I still find them very hard to like, yeah sure they won at home but 1 Goal in their last 4 EPL Matches! I don’t feel they’ll get anything from this match but H2H says something different and I am loathed to go against that, However I do think that Bolton are creating chances, far more than Fulham and I’ll back them to score 1 or 2 and give up 1, so instead of looking for a winner here I’ll go with 2-3 Goals in the match again…Good Luck.
