NBA - NJ Nets v Detroit Pistons

I just got home from Court....Yay no Jail !!

The Total on this game of course is set low but the chances of it going over are very good and I’ll go with that to happen here as the Pistons losers of their last 5 and the Nets winners of one of their last 5 face off tonight.

The Nets have won only 4 games all season long and the season ahead looks awfully long for them, Harris is again injured and could be out for this match and the rest of the Nets side is just not playing to the level they should be, However to say they are a pathetic team night be a bit unfair as these players can play but are just not getting the job done and to be honest when you are losing it is hard to feel good about much at all, Losses to the Wizards and 76ers hasn’t helped them and their scoring is starting to plummet game by game, they can only get better and lets remember these players are good enough to make the NBA and that means they can perform on any given day, I reckon they will today.

The Pistons to are having a season to forget and are on a bad losing run themselves, the Pistons are 15-31 on the season which for a team who once were one of the hardest sides to beat is just not good, I know that this Pistons side has changed but still you would of thought that they could of gone better than this with the players they have on their roster, but it is just not happening for them, losing has got to be getting to them and their usual defensive approach is not working as they cannot capitalize on it with poor shooting, their last match against the Magic was a good example where they were thrashed in the opening Quarter and then came back to even take the lead in the 3rd but then fell over down the stretch to eventually lose, Very Un Piston like, Defence is not working, Offence might especially against the Nets.

The Pistons are 8-2 in their last 10 against the Nets and are 5-5 ATS in those last 10 matches, 4 of those most recent 10 matches have been played in New Jersey with the Nets actually winning the last 2 but losing the two before that, The nets are 2-2 ATS in those last 4 at home against this Pistons outfit… Total wise and 7 of the last 9 have resulted in over the Set total with 3 of the last 4 going over the Set Total when being played in Jersey.

Both sides are looking for something today and that is a win, the Pistons should win this match but the Nets are in the same situation as them and could pull out a big game here, both sides match up well and in the paint even more so, so a lot on this game will come down to outside shooting and in that regard I like the Nets to really try and push this game to get the Pistons into a shooting match rather than a defensive match as that would suit them better, the Total is low and it is iffy, But I like it and in matches where either side do have a chance to win when either side is losing then you do expect either side to come out here with a decent mindset, I’m on the Over and for the Nets to win….Good Luck.
