Premiership - Hull City v Chelsea
My biggest bet on the last weekend of EPL Fixtures was one I actually didn’t do a write up on as I really didn’t want to Jinx it, sorry about that as I took Hull and Wolves to draw in their previous match, I won’t be on the draw today though not ith Chelsea coing to KStadium.
Hull looked good in their last match but again just cannot help but concede goals they hit the lead twice on Saturday only to hand easy goals right back to Wolves and so ended up with a single point after looking great for long periods of that match, Hull are on an upward trend and have 3 draws and 2 losses from their last 5 matches, at home and the Tigers have a win 3 draws and a loss in their last 5 there and goals galore are flying into the back of either net, 19 goals have been scored in the Tigers last 5 home matches 9 for and 11 against and we should expect more of the same today especially against a strong side such as Chelsea. Personal; wise and Bullard looks set to return with Olofinijana but Zayatte and Ghilas are both likely out.
Chelsea did not look to flash in their last match a 2-1 win over Burnley and should be looking for better in this match against a side they have gone well against and should be able to score against, I was impressed though with Chelsea’s push to score a goal once Burnley had gotten a goal and they looked likely to score time and time again until they did, you also have to say that without Drogba Chelsea continuie to score Goals and with him likely in for this match they can only get better in that department, On their travels in their last 5 matches Chelsea have scored in all but one of those last 5 road matches but have scored 6 while allowing 4 in the other 4 away fixtures, Personal wise and Drogba is back but Essien, Bosingwa and Belleti are all still out.
Recent Results: Played 3, Hull 0, Chelsea 2, Drawn 1….Round 1, 15-Aug-2009 at Chelsea : Chelsea vs Hull 2 - 1….Round 25, 07-Feb-2009 at Chelsea : Chelsea vs Hull 0 - 0….Round 10, 29-Oct-2008 at Hull : Hull vs Chelsea 0 - 3
Chelsea are the clear favs here and so they should be especially with Drogba back in and the way they have been playing but Hull have scored and conceded goals and have played well, they have scored 2 Goals or more in 3 of their last 5 at home while allowing 2 or more in their last 5 at home, Chelsea have scored 2 or more in their last 5 matches at any venue but have only kept a clean sheet twice in their last 5 road games, I reckon Chelsea will grab 3 here and maybe one more, They have won their last 2 here 0-4 and 0-3 and I do also think that Hull could grab a goal as they are in goal scoring touch and so I’ll go for over 3.0 Goals in match, Lets hope that unlike City and Pompey that these sides can actually take their chances today….Good Luck.
