League One - Charlton v Tranmere
Charltons excellent 11 match unbeaten run came to a surprising end last time out when they were beaten at home to Leyton Orient, It was there 1st home defeat of the season have previously won 9 and drawn 4 of there 13 home matches, I think we can forgive Charlton this little blip and still have confidence in them getting back to winning ways today. Charlton have plenty of attacking flair in there side and in the Leyton Orient defeat (1-0) it was the 1st game they had failed to score in in 14 matches, Only Norwich have scored more goals this season than Charlton. Charlton remain hot on the heels of Norwich and Leeds and already it looks like the automatic promotion places will be going to 2 of these 3 sides.
Tranmere still have quite recovered from the strange appointment of John Barnes in the summer and are still sitting in the relegation zone, Things have improved for Tranmere since Barnes was sacked and they are now a tougher side to break down, Scoring is still a problem and only 2 sides have scored less goals in League 1 than Tranmere this season. Tranmeres record away from home this season is woeful, picking up just 5 points from a possible 39, scoring just 6 goals in them 13 games too.
Charltons home record Vs Tranmere away record points to only one outcome here today and that is a home win, at 1.5 it certainly offers more value today than backing the likes of Norwich and Southampton, who although both should win i wont be touching them at sub 1.33
