Well Man City were thumped mid week and in some ways they deserved it, but now they have to right the Ship which they should be able to achieve as they face Portsmouth today.

City went to United mid week with all the cards on their side but they failed to get the desired result, you would have to think that they will likely be really upset about that result especially how big the end margin was and so they should be up for the Challenge that Portsmouth represent to them today, City have played 10 games at home this term losing only 3 while racking up plenty 26 for and a not so good 14 against, They have won their last 3 Home matches scoring 10 and conceding 4 and they should be able to repeat that sort of effort against Pompey today, Personal wise and Toure and Adebayor are back and should be in contention for selection and Ireland and Petrov are also back up for selection for this match, while Lescott, Santa Cruz, Johnson and Bridge are all still missing in action.

Portsmouth are going bad on the Pitch and even worse off it, Money woes and the like are making life even more of a misery than they are already, On the park though they have won only one of their last 5 matches and in their last match they took a point from West Ham, Away from home this season and it is far from Rosy with Pompey winning only 1 of their 10 away matches and scoring only 5 goals compared to them allowing 16!! However they have scored a goal I their last 2 matches albeit both games were at home and they did manage to score a goal away to Chelsea 5 matches ago which not many teams can say that they have achieved that, Personal wise and Diop is out while Yebda, Belhadji and Kanu are all still missing due to International commitments.

City are the Favs and they deserve to be but they leak goals just like they score them, everything about this match suggests that City will have an easy time of it and I expect them to, they score goals at home and against the lesser sides even more so, I reckon they could well knock in 3 here and maybe 1 more, either way I reckon 4-1, 3-1 or 4-0 are likely results even though asking a fair bit….Good Luck.
