Premiership - Wigan v Everton

Everton have a habit of going on runs over the last few seasons and again they appear to be on another of these great looking winning runs, I had them -1 against Sunderland which wasn’t hard to pick really with the form of either side and the same could be said of this match today against the Lactics, although you have to admit that with Wigan you really don’t know what to expect from one week to the next….

Wigan are a hard team to read, I went against them mid week in their match with Rovers and just got away with it but I was lucky really and Wigan really didn’t look to bad, but their inconsistent form is a real worry, They are now in a bad place Form wise and on the EPL Table and the players will be under pressure to get something in this match as they are at home and over the last few seasons have gone well there, they have no real injury worries to talk about apart from their GK position with Kirkland still out. However a real fact for the Lactics is that they have the conceded the most goals in the EPL this season at 46 and this match does not look good for them on any front apart from the fact that they are at home.

The Toffees were awful earlier in this season but again they have suddenly transformed into an unbelievable looking side with pace to burn, Goals galore and a defence that is standing tall for them, Again like the last few seasons just when all looks lost for them they start winning, again they have injuries and again they are exceeding all expectations, But most of the injured players are back and what a team they appear to be Saha, Cahill and Fellaini are going great while Arteta is back and their line up now looks very hard to beat.

Everton are on a roll here and are looking rock solid on both sides of the ball, they have now kept a clean sheet in their last 2 matches and 3 of their last 4, their player strength is top notch right now and they have a great record against the Lactics which is a good sign cause not many teams do have great records when playing Wigan at home, Wigan would have to transform themselves to get over this Toffees side playing the way they are and I’m not going against Everton at all, I fancy Everton to win here and heap more misery on Wigan…..Good Luck.
