Premiership - Birmingham City v Tottenham
Birmingham’s unbeaten run came to an end with a thud going down 3-0 to Chelsea, it has been coming and I guess we have all been waiting for it and now that it has finally happened we get to see how much resolve this Birmingham team really have, On the other side Spurs finally won a game after a surprise draw with Wolves and a 2-0 loss to Liverpool.Well what a run it was for the Blues but now back to reality as they face Spurs this weekend, Hopefully the Blues can take the best from what they have achieved and not be to down on themselves, a loss to Chelsea who are on the rise right now shouldn’t come as that much of a shock for them and their self belief should still be there for up coming matches, the first half will be the key for them, Birmingham still have conceded only 6 goals at home this season and have scored only 9 but yet have still only lost 2 games at home in 11 matches this season and should front up today, Personal wise and no new injuries for them but Carsley, Tainio and O’Connor remain out for the Blues.
Spurs are still in 4th spot on the EPL table after their win against Fulham but they still for me at least are not playing well, or at least not as well as you would think, and away from home even more so, Spurs have failed to find the back of the net in 3 of their last 5 away matches which against a Blues defence that does not conceded many especially at home that could be a bit of a worry, Personal wise and Kranjcar who was in great form before missing the Fulham game should be back but then again Bently was master full in that win against Fulham and he wil be the one likely to miss out should he return and King will not play while Lennon, Woodgate and Cudicini remain out which are some fairly big names to be missing in this match.

Again I fancy the draw here, the Blues don’t conceded many while Spurs away from home aren’t scoring many, Birmingham would likely settle for a draw as any thing is better than 2 losses on the trot, while Spurs would likely accept that also especially with players of the calibre of King, Lennon, Woodgate and Cudicini all being out for the side for this match and so that’s what I’m looking for, although Birmingham do have a good recent history against Spurs when playing them at home, But I reckon either side would settle for a point here….Good Luck.
