The nearer the match comes, the better the odds become for Ghana in Asia.

Ivory Coast have started with a 0:0 draw against Burkina into the tournament, in a group with only three participants. So this is the last chance already for them today to be able to direct their destiny, although it is very likely that Ghana will beat Burkina in the last match of this group. Looks like an absolute mustwin match for Drogba and co, but can there be sth like that in this curious tournament ? Ivory certainly overpowered BF in the draw, had several hard fought chances, two not given penalties, while BF had no posession at all. I have problems believing BF have such a strong defense so it should have to do sth with Ivory, and its very probable to me that it has to do sth with the lack of creativeness coming from the midfield, so that this worldclass attackers cannot produce.

On the other side Ghana are yet to be seen in Angola, since this will be their very first match, and it is certainly difficult to estimate their strength. So in this regard this is a gamble. But Ghana has a really powerful team imo. First of all, their defense should be at least on the level of BF^^Midfield includes worldclass provided by Essien, Vorsah from Hoffenheim, Kwadwo A. from Udinese and several others. The attack and creative zone is also one that should be productive with A. Gyan from Rennes and the young supertalent Adyiah form Milan.

It is hard to estimate Ghana, and also hard to see IC missing the chance to reach the quarterfinal, but I dont think Ghana will care much about that. Far from it ! I think its even a great opportunity to eliminate one of the title contenders, the top title contender, and increase their own chances to win the trophy.
