NFL Betting - Saints vs Arizona Cardinals Preview

NFL - Saints v Arizona Cardinals

Preview By Tipster Jumbo (New Zealand)

My thoughts on the total aye Bro, This wil be short but pretty much to the point…

My Initial impression on the total for this match was that it was fair, but I keep thinking “Take the Under”

The Saints Home defence this season is allowing 21ppg, while on the Road the Cardinals have been very good this season allowing on average 17ppg , now all of that aside we also have two sides who have been patchy on defence this season, The Saints enter this game having lost a few and also with a defence that has regularly leaked points, they have had 2 weeks to get ready for this match and defence would have been a priority for them and when they would of seen who they are to play this weekend even more so, the Saints have been great in big games at home and in such matches have allowed on average under 17 points over the last two seasons, I do think they can put on a decent defensive showing but how much they will be able to restrict the Cardinals is in question and I don’t really think they can keep them under 20 points.

On the other side the Cardinals have just come off a game where they ruled the roost , stopped one of the best offences going for 2 quarters but were almost run down, In fact they were and then had some luck to finish the game off, A lot like the Saints defensive Coordinators I am expecting the Cardinals defensive super minds to get stuck right into their defence for them to be able to hold the effort they have had in their first 2 quarters all season long, The Cardinals rank in the Top 3 for defence in the opening 2 Quarters but then rank 20th in the league for the final 2 Quarters, that has got to be an Issue for them especially against such a strong attacking side like the Saints and so I think they will go all out to stop them from scoring and make the game a battle rather than a throw fest like last weeks match was.

57 Points is huge, It’s mammoth and I am loathed to go with it, Both sides will know how big this game is and both sides will know how dangerous their opposition can be and will be on the day, I’m going for a Final score like 27-24, 30-24, 27- 17 or somewhere in between 45-55 points and so I’ll have a small shot on the Under in this match….Good Luck.

… The Saints’ defense got criticized down the stretch, but the fact is if you take out the Redskins game, it gave up 24 points or less in each of its final eight games. Also, New Orleans stayed under the total in its last four contests and six of the last seven, and prior to last week, Arizona had been on a 6-1 “under” run. … This is another go-against-the-public play – much the same as I went against the public in that Monday Night Football game between the Patriots and Saints in New Orleans several weeks ago. I told you that night the 57-point total was inflated by three points. Final score: 38-17 New Orleans. I predict the EXACT same score in this one!

Playing the percentages here, as this is THE highest total ever for an NFL playoff game. It’s this high because of that Packers-Cardinals 51-45 shootout last week, which automatically inflated this number by a good three points (if not more). … Prior to last week, the Cardinals had played just one game all year that had more than 55 combined points (41-21 at Chicago). Meanwhile, the Saints’ last three games had final scores of 24-17 (home), 20-17 (home) and 23-10 (road). Also, only one of New Orleans’ last nine games had more than 55 combined points (and that was a wild 33-30 overtime game at Washington that had a fluke play for a TD).
