Premiership - Blackburn v Liverpool
Rovers had played a pretty strong team in the Carling Cup quarter final, and while they had worked their socks off to beat Chelsea, the fatigue will definitely get to them with many players playing 120 minutes of the tie.
Blackburn haven't been able to get many goals out of their forwards, so much so their top goalscorer is midfielder David Dunn who is out from this fixture with a calf injury.
Liverpool are counting on the leadership of captain Steven Gerrard who plays his 500th game in Liverpool colors to help lead the side in what every situation now is a must needed win for the Merseyside outfit.
Fernando Torres may play some part in this fixture, but the returning Albert Riera and the ever dependable Yossi Benayoun will probably play on the wings giving support to Kuyt or Ngog up front to try and seal this match in the first half itself.
Liverpool need this victory and I don't see after the exhausting Carling Cup match on Wednesday, Blackburn winning this game after Liverpool have had the whole week to rest and sort out their injury concerns.
