Banská Bystrica is having a terrific season so far, ranking 2nd in the stands, winning 20 meetings out of 24 and playing a nice hockey, one of the best in Slovakia. They are on a 10 games winning streak and are coming after a win in Bratislava, against Slovan, 3:4, in a game in wich Banská Bystrica played without three of their best defenders. Slovan dominated the game, but Martin Vojtek was in his best form in the net, making 52 saves.

I must admit I was impressed with Banská Bystrica so far. Their are in their best form and, at this moment, they are capable to win against any team in Slovnaft Extraliga. Banská Bystrica won't count anymore on Branislav Jánoš, player that has agreed terms with Dukla Trenčín. Even without him, I see Banská Bystrica winning today in front of a team that struggled to keep a good momentum this season.
