DEL - Mannheim v Hannover
Here we are, a new month, hopefully better than the previous one. Interesting matches in prospect this month, so, let's begin!
Adler is only four points behind Eisbären in the stands and comes after a win in the big derby from Berlin against Eisbären. It was a match in wich this two teams showed that they are capable of doing a great season, managing to play a high level hockey, with lots of goals and lots of opportunities of scoring, but Brathwaite and Zepp showed their class. In the end, Adler won 4:3 after OT, Ronny Arendt scoring from a superb pass by Colin Beardsmore.
Hannover Scorpions are 11th in the stands with 30 points after 23 games. They're having only eight wins this season and are coming after a win in Köln, 6:5 in OT against Kölner Haie, after a superb comeback. Kölner Haie was leading 5:1 when the third period started, but "scorpions" managed to fight back and scored four goals in just ten minutes by Klaus Kathan, Ben Cottreau, Adam Mitchell and Chris Herperger. In the OT, the same Chris Herperger managed to score in the 4th minute and Scorpions came back in Hannover with two points.
Adler won't count today on Yannic Seidenberg, so Doug Mason will use the same team that won in Berlin two days ago.
Adler is full of confidence after they won the derby with Eisbären. I see Nathan Robinson, Scott King, Francois Methot, Justin Papineau, Mario Scalzo & Co. scoring lots of goals tonight in front of a team that has one of the worst defensive lines in DEL. Also, in the net Levente Szuper and Youri Ziffzer are having low percentages, so the owners brought Scott Travis in the team, hoping that his arrival will inspire Hannover's defencemans. But don't underestimate Hannover in it's attacking lines, because they are having some interesting players that are capable of scoring in every game as Tore Vikingstad, their leading player, Matt Dzieduszycki, Sascha Goc, Adam Mitchell, Chris Herperger or Thomas Dolak.
This two teams met eachother twice this season, both games ended with seven or more goals (4:5 - 4:3).
