Championship - Blackpool v Preston

Blackpool have been one of the surprise packages in the opening half of the season, But really that should have come as no surprise with the gifted Ian Holloway at the helm, Holloway is a fine, If somewhat mad, manager who always seems so improve a side in his first couple of seasons in charge, sadly more often than not they cant quite seem to ever keep it up. Nevertheless Blackpool are going well this season and a win tonight would see them lifted to 4th in the table. There is no reason to suggest that they wont win tonight especially when you look at there recent home form:

Won 4-1 Vs Scunthorpe

Won 3-0 Vs Sheff Utd

Won 2-0 Vs Plymouth

Won 2-0 Vs Peterboro

Won 2-1 Vs Newcastle

Won 3-0 Vs Coventry

Thats 6 wins on the trot for Blackpool and having started the season with 2 home draws its a league run of 8 unbeaten at home, Its also worth noting, Blackpool beat Wigan at home 4-1 in the League Cup this season too.

Preston were touted as one of the title contenders at the start of the season and it looked to be the right call after the opening 6 matches saw them sitting 3rd and unbeaten, The wheels haven't exactly come off since then but they do find themselves with just 1 win from the last 8 matches. Come the end of the season i wouldnt be surprised if they ended up above tonights opponents Blackpool and might have been tempted to back them tonight if the price were a little better on them, However, the price is too short for me but that in turn means the price on Blackpool is on the generous side too, 2.10 is a good price on a side that have won 6 on the bounce at home.
