Super League - AEK Athens v PAOK

AEK is on their worst run since I can remember them. They were never so low, so early, being disqualified from the cup and worst of all, not being able to score goals. If one thing that characterizes AEK team is the ability to score many goals and to have the 1rst Goalscorer of Greece more often than anyone. Olympiakos & Panathinaikos all time top goalscorers if added together they reach 282 if I remember well while AEK's top goalscorer's add up to 500+ something.

Of course all these trivial data are absolutely useless concerning the match or any match at all! Pre-history is nothing but stats for us to look at and feel aggrieved ςιτη τηε quarky results. Truth is AEK has been crap on their defensive line this year & on their away games. Only 1 win away this is just the worst performance ever!

PAOK on the other hand is walking on a different line. They manage somehow to take the results, play respectable football and will have influential Vierinia for this match at their disposal. If PAOK scores tonight they will get away with a result I feel. AEK is missing their best player this year Hungarian devil Nemeth and this makes me think more reluctantly about how able are the home side to win this.

To tell u the truth u should better avoid this bet of mine. I might be totally wrong & I might be betting influenced by the love for my team which is the home side. I bet money on them very very rarely but I reckon this is the time to do so. Odds are fine for such a result, not outstanding but satisfactory. At the start of the season AEK had some nice games, especially against Olympiakos. AEK will have to compete for a shameful 3rd position this year & PAOK is as well so I am expecting the players to go into this game really fired up. PAOK will try to go for the draw first & then snatch an away goal on the counterattack.

In such games I prefer to be with the team which at least TRIES TO SCORE, than to defend. PAOK lost all big derbies last year but they are coming with renewed morale as they smashed 4-0 fellow Thessaloniki rivals Aris on their last game. However this is a totally different game and I am expecting AEK to wake up and win it! Good luck!
