Rugby Union - Scotland v Argentina
Scotland coach Andy Robinson has made three changes Scotland for this weekend's Test against Argentina. Ben Cairns returns at outside centre and Thom Evans is recalled on the wing. They take the places of Graeme Morrison and Simon Danielli respectively, Meanwhile flank Alan MacDonald is set to make his debut in place of back-row John Barclay, The Pumas match will be Scotland Coach Robinson's third in charge and another win would see him become the first Scotland coach since 2002 to oversee a hat-trick of November wins. Saturday's 9-8 win over the Wallabies was Scotland's first victory against Australia in 27 years and didn’t they love it, Saturday's match will be Scotland's third and final international of the November programme. The match will be Scotland Coach Robinson's third in charge and another win would see him become the first Scotland coach since 2002 to oversee a hat-trick of November wins.
Argentinean coach Phelan has made six changes to his starting XV, In the forwards, Marcos Ayerza, hooker Alberto Vernet Basualdo, lock Manuel Carizza and flank Alejandro Campos all return while, in the back line, Alfredo Lalanne and wing Federico Martin Aramburu are named. The Pumas suffered a disappointing 33-16 defeat last weekend against Wales but have shown plenty of potential, Argentina will take some confidence from their fantastic record at Murrayfield , the Pumas have not lost at Murryfield since 1990 and, once again being led by Juan Fernandez Lobbe, will be targeting a confidence boosting victory to end the November Tests.
These two sides have played 9 times with the Pumas winning 7 of those 9 matches, Scotland did win the last match in 2008 in Argentina 26-14 but the Pumas had won the previous 7 matches against the Scots, In Scotland the Pumas have won 3 of their last 4 with an average wining margin in those 3 games of 6 points.
Scotland may of beaten the Wallabies last weekend but the game was far from comprehensive and had the Wallabies scored those tries that were disallowed the Scots would of lost rather badly, Meanwhile the Pumas are yet to win on this tour but did play well last weekend even though going down to Wales, the Welsh scored a couple of real dodgy cheap tries in that match and you can bet that the Pumas will be watching out for those things this weekend against the Scots.
The Pumas are due a win I reckon and this week will be their chance to get one, I’m taking the Pumas by 12 or less in this one…Good Luck.
