Serie A - Bari v Siena

Bari, one of the season's big positive surprises in Serie A so far. They build their team on a strong defensive with the two youngsters Ranocchia and Bonucci at center back. These are a major contributing factor to the fact thet they let in the fewest goals in the entire series. Only ten in 13 games played so far. The offense, however, is weaker. Last year's top scorer in Serie B, Barreto has so far only made one goal and on Sunday he´ll miss his sidekick Kutuzov. An even greater setback, however, is that they will play without the wingmidfielder Alvarez at the weekend. Alvarez is on his sixth season in Italy, but has previously had difficult to convince during his spells at Roma, Livorno and Messina. This season he plays the football of his life. He possesses an incredible pace and acceleration and represents an enormous threat to the opponents back line. Big setback for Bari.

In Siena Alberto Malesani makes his debut on the trainer bench. He thus takes over his third Tuscanyclub so far in his career. He has previously trained both Empoli and Fiorentina in Serie A. Malesani takes over from youth coach Marco Baroni who received only three weeks in the hot seat after the former sacked Marco Giampaolo. Initial reports claims he will change tactics to a 4-4-2 system. Baroni and Giampaolo both used a 4-3-1-2 system. Siena are rock bottom of the table and have only collected six points in 13 games, I myself will not be surprised if they start to move up the table. Siena has always been tipped to be relegated fom the Serie A, but has become something of experts to hang in there. So they still have a good deal of fighting spirit in the club. I expect a tight and hardfought game between these teams and not a lot of goalscoring chances
