Blue SQ Premier - Stevenage v Chester
Stevenage currently sit in 2nd spot in the Bluesq Premier after 20 matches on 41 points, 5 points behind table topping Oxford and 3 ahead of 3rd placed Kettering. Stevenage are THE form side in the league over the past 8 matches taking more points (18) that everybody else in the league and have an unbeaten runs stretching back 15 matches to August 22nd when they were beaten by Oxford, This is in fact Stevenages only defeat of the season so far. The only down side for Stevenage is perhaps they are drawing more games than they would like, 8 draws so far is the most by any side in the Bluesq Premier. 6 wins 4 draws and 0 defeats at home this season is pretty good going so far this season with 22 goals scored in these 10 matches. In 3 of Stevenages last 4 home matches they have recorded 4-0 3-1 and 5-3 victories and have only failed to score on 1 occasion in front of these own fans. Top Scores Griffin is a doubt for tonights match having missed the weekend win through illness, But Mitchell Cole who was rested should play tonight.
Chester is really beginning to struggle now after a brief revival of 3 wins on the bounce and have now recorded 3 straight defeats in a row conceding 3 goals in each of them games. The off field problems are still on going and nobody would be surprised to see the club go under before the end of the season, Much of there recent revival could have been put down to the loan signings of Coulson and Flynn, But sadly lack of money has see both these players return to there parent clubs and reports indicate they are sorely missed. Rumours of lack of wages and lack of training surround the club although they did train yesterday so i read. Either way you must wonder what all the off field problems are doing to the already paper thin playing squad, Jim Harvey the manager has come out this week and said some of his players just aren't up to the required standard but with no money to invest his hands are tied.
The obvious lean here is towards a comfortable Home victory and at odds of around 1.3 it could attract the high rollers but im going for a few other bets in this match. I believe Stevenage will win and i also believe Stevenage will win well, Certainly by at least 2 goals, If Stevenage can get off to a decent start could even go on to win by a decent margin here. Im going to back some juicy correct scores here but with what will hopefull be a safely net to earn up a small profit if the correct scores fail, So a 'Dutch' of some winning margin of 2 goals, 3 goals and 4 of more goals will hopefully give us a free correct score bet and return a small profit too.
2.69pts Stevenage to win by exactly 2 goals with Bluesq @4.00
1.96pts Stevenage to win by exactly 3 goals with Bluesq @5.50
1.35pts Stevenage to win by 4 goals of more with Bluesq @8.00
Basically if Stevenage win by a margin greater than a single goal for our 6 pts staked it will return 10.78 units which is a profit of 4.78, So it is hopefully these units that im investing in some correct scores.
