NBA - Miami Heat v Denver Nuggets
The Miami Heat are having a good start with a 4-1 record, but looking at their opponents, it might not be realistic: they have won against the Bulls and the Knicks at home, while away they defeated the struggling Pacers and the Wizards in a very close game. In the only game versus a top opponent, the Suns, they lost at home by 8 points, and now an even harder opponent approaches.
The Denver Nuggets are having a wonderful start with a 5-0 record, with a tougher opposition than the Heat had: they got some nice wins versus the Jazz at home and the Trailblazers away, while blowing out the Pacers, Nets and Grizzlies. Carmelo Anthony has been red-hot in these first games and looks to get another 30-point performance in this one, as the Nuggets are leading in points scored so far the standings. Billups is of course the same fine-touch guard in the back line so the Nuggets even though playing their third of a 6-game road trip, should be the victors tonight.
The Heat are once again relying mostly on Dwyane Wade and this tactics has suited them against mediocre opponents, but versus a Nuggets team with some fine runners in the line-up, he should have more problems than usual.
It is worth mentioning that the Nuggets have been dominant over the Heat in recent years, winning 12 of the last 14 played, including the last four in Miami. Last season, for example, the Nuggets won by 17 points in Miami, while taking the game in Denver by 11 points.
All-in-all this should be a not so equal match-up as the lines suggest, and backing the visitors to continue their winning streak should be the smart bet tonight in the NBA at tasty odds. Still, will not to max stakes on it because i always tend to be a little careful when betting on teams that are not 100% reliable away from home. Still, Nuggets should walk through the Heat tonight. Good luck.
