WTA - S. Williams v Wozniacki

I suppose only time will tell just how injured Wozniacki is heading into this match, She certainly looked and played like she was struggling during her rather tame 6-2 6-2 defeat to Jankovic yesterday, Perhaps she should have pulled out, perhaps she shouldnt...who knows, Some were suggesting she only played in the match because of the slim chance she still had of qualifying from the round robin, a retirement meant she would have had to withdraw from the tournament, She played, she lost yet amazingly she qualified for the semis and now faces Serena Williams.

Sereana was the first player to qualify for the semi finals and despite a slow start in the round robin appears to be getting better and better and by the time she goes on court will know whether or not she is meeting her sister or Jankovic in the final.

With big doubts over the fitness of Wozniacki the price on Serena to win is very short, unsurprisingly, And again just how injured Wozniacki is only time will tell, If Wozniacki is struggling as much as yesterday she wont get anything other than a hiding in this match and the handicap of Serena -5.5 looks a decent bet. An injured Wozniacki will struggle to win 7 games here.

Its a brave call from the Dane to play but one that could prove to be silly for her
