Blue Square South - Newport v Weymouth

Very little about midweek apart from the champs league, but one game that does warrant close attention is this Blue Square South game between Newport and Weymouth.

Newport will leapfrog my antepost tip of Dover to top slot if they beat bottom club Weymouth at home. Prices range from 4/9 to 1/4 on the welsh side and that tells you pretty much all you need to know about this game. Newport were rampant at home on Saturday beating a useful Eastleigh side 5-1, and it could have been more by all accounts.

Weymouth in the other hand have been dire and have the leagues worst scoring record. they have just raised £50,000 from the fans and this will be a vital lifeline for a club struggling financially (as most are), but it will not make a huge difference to the squad of players in show on Wednesday.

I like these bets, but it is always a loser if Weymouth score, however, Newport's defence has been pretty tidy this season, and I am hoping that it will be one way traffic on Wednesday night.
