Someone would expect the fact that continuous games would result in tiredness. This led to a 3-1 defeat in Genoa for the Europa League for Odense. However, they can still make it if they score at least a 2-0 next week at home (a rather difficult scenario).

For the Danish superleague however, things are going according to plan, with Odense aiming the top today by winning Randers. They are amongst the favorites for the championship and they ask for no less. In their last two games they got an away win 1-2 with Esbjerk and a good (but anxious) 1-0 win at home against Midtjylland. Now, after the defeat for the European cup, they aim to a win at home with poor Randers (last on table).

For today, the important comeback of attacking medfielder Absalonsen in the squad, is what matters most. Three continuous absences are still on, goalkeeper Lindegraad, defender Troest and reserve left back Jonhansen.

How much worse can it be for Randers? They are last on table, but were playing for the Europa league (!). Although their expectations for this year were high, they seem to rather dissapoint upto now. The worst thing is that even in games that they seem to play good football, they fail to score and win. After discqualification by Hamburg for the european cup, their attention now turns wholy in the championship. However, things get difficult after a 4-1 defeat away by Midtjylland and a 1-3 defeat at home by Brondby. Now they play another difficult game at Odense, which will possibly have the same result.

Randers manager has pressures of showing results. His demand for an additional attacker was answered by a loan of Zoze Junior (by Copenhagen). Now there are no excuses by Randers manager, although absences are still on. Defender Biscov, right-back Fishker and attacker Coning are all out, although main defender medfielder Anti is coming back to the squad.

I reckon that Odense has to bounce back from the heavy defeat at Hamburg and they will get the most out of their powerfull ground at home. Randers will probably show some signs of circuity in the near future, with weaker teams, but not today.
