Aintree - Race 3 v Race Winner

2nd one for me today, and I really like this !!

This is a class 2 Heritage Handicap run over 7 1/2 Furlongs.

The horse we I'm backing here is number 11 CELTIC SULTAN.

This horse is trained by Tom Tate and will be ridden today by Micky Fenton.

Chester is a very sharp, tight track that usually suits horses racing prominently.

When i initially looked through this race, there were 3 obvious trailblazers in the field.

Invincible Force was 1, and he now doesn't run.

Dunn'o is another that likes to go from the front.

However, he is drawn 13 of 14 so will do very well to get to the front from that draw.

That now just leaves Celtic Sultan from stall 3.

Celtic Sultan is a genuine trailblazer that can only race one way.

He likes to blast out of the stalls and try and make all.

When he does get to dominate, he can be a tough horse to catch.

However, if he doesn't get his own way out infront, he can often decide to not give of his best.

Usually in these races, there are several front runners, making it hard for him to dominate.

However, with the only other real trailblazer drawn very wide here today, he might just be able to get his own way out infront here.

He has a perfect draw in stall 3.

He should be able to blast out and get the rail.

If he does, then around this sharp track, he could well take some catching.

Celtic Sultan has plenty going for him today.

As mentioned, he might just get his own way out infront from a good draw.

The trip, track and ground will all be fine for the horse.

Celtic Sultan has won here previously, which is always a big plus at Chester.

That win came last year.

That was also a class 2 handicap over todays trip.

He made all that day.

He won that race from a rating of 100.

He is racing today from a mark of just 92.

Celtic Sultan is now looking very well handicapped.

Celtic Sultan has plenty going for him here today.

7 1/2 Furlongs on fast ground around here look ideal for the horse.

He is now very well handicapped.

It is also possible that he could get the run of the race out infront.

If things do pan out that way, then he will be very difficult to catch around this sharp track.
