Dementieva was easily the form player at the start of the year and beat allcomers on her way to a Aussie open semi final defeat, It ended a 15 game winning run, Since then her form has dipped but you wouldnt say she was in bad form and is more than capable of winning this with ease. Dementieva has a shaky start at Wimbledon last year before getting to the SF and could go far again this year. Kudryavtseva has had a tough year and at times has struggled to buy a win, one defeat came against Yank wonder kid Madison Keys who is little more than a child and at the time of her defeat had only just turned 14!!!! I cant see Kudryavtseva living with Dementieva as long as Elanas head is in the right place. Kudryavtseva run to the last 16 last year including a win over Sharapova i fear could be a distant memory.
