Championship - Preston v Sheffield Utd

It only seems like yesterday i was cheering Bristol City on during the Play-Offs and now they are here again, Sadly this year without my boys in attendance.

The Championship Play-Off final is said to be the biggest money game in football with all the cash that goes with being in the Premiership being up for grabs, Both these sides will want to get over this Semi Final hurdle and take there place at Wembley but nerves are bound to play its part and caution could be the order of the day from both sides tonight.

Preston got into the Play Offs via the back door, booking the final spot on the final day of the season, Ahead of Cardiff on i believe goals scored after there goal differences were identical, this would never have been the case had Preston not beaten Cardiff 6-0 inside the final 3 matches of the season, They ended the season in fine form with 4 straight wins, 2-0 6-0 2-1 and 2-1. Preston hold the best home record in the Championship this season too.

Sheff Utd went into the final game of the season in with a shot of automatic promotion if results had gone there way, Sadly for them they have had to settle for a play off spot. It was a stumbling end to the season for Sheff Utd managing just 1 win from there final 4 matches. They will be looking to get over the disappointment of finishing 3rd quickly, Sheff Utd finished the season with the 2nd best away record in the Championship this season.

Its difficult to split these 2 sides on paper tonight, fairly evenly matched sides, and 2 teams that have defended well over the past few months, This seasons H2H shows Sheff Utd managed a 1-0 win at home and at Preston the spoils were shared in a 0-0 draw.

Unders looks to have a good chance tonight but at around 1.66 is quite skinny, it does promise to be a close match tonight though. I dont see either side winning by more than a single goal and with me fancying Unders its a better bet for me to 'Dutch' 1-0 0-1 0-0 and 1-1 at around even money tonight.
