Blue SQ Premier - Salisbury v Cambridge

Not too long ago if you had said Burton have a foot in the football league it could have been an understatement, they seems to have most of there body in it, with a huge lead at the top of the Blue Square Premier, Nigel Clough left to take over at Derby and suddenly the wheels came off, just 4 wins from 13 games has seen Cambridge in with a chance of catching them for the title. Especially as Burton travel to Play off hopefuls Torquay on the final day of the season possibly needing 1 point to win the league, This is of course if Cambridge win today.

Its stick or twist time for Cambridge this week, Mathmatically they arent certain of a play-off spot but should get one, And as i said above can still get the Golden ticket of automatic promotion to the Football League. They need to go to Salisbury today and win for starters and a good win 2-0 3-0 will close the goal difference between themselves and Burton to a more than manageable difference. Despite a couple of blips they have still managed 7 wins from 9 in the league and i cant help but think they will go hell for leather to put Burton under pressure on the final weekend of the season.

Salisbury could be thinking of there summer holidays already, there season is all but over and safety is assured barring a miracle or 10!! Salisbury had a good Feb and March but have gone off the boil it there past 4 matches, leaking 8 goals in a 4 game winless run.

Im not saying Salisbury will roll over today by any means but with so much at stake for Cambridge im more than happy to back them and at 1.83 it looks a good bet.
