Ryder Cup - Special Market v Special Market
Whilst all eyes will be on Tiger in his attempt to further cement his status as a golfing god, it is to the young native of New Zealand who i shall be turning my attention too. This young man is showing all the right signs of making it to the top, not too dissimilar to the might Mr Woods himself.
Lee won the US Amateur in 2008 at the tender age of 18 years and 1 month, younger than woods, and he has since gone on and won the Johhnie Walker Classic which was on the eurpean tour, and had the likes of seasoned tour winners Lee Westwood, Paul Casey, Ian Poulter, Colin Montgomerie, Anthony Kim to name but a few. It was the manner of this victory and how he did not crumble under pressure that impressed many including me.
The field for the title of best amateur isn't huge, there are only 4 other runners, Drew Kittleson, Reinier Saxton, Jack Newman and Steve Wilson. All talented golfers, and all with a big future ahead of them, but none have won a "senior" event, and this will stand Danny Lee head and shoulders above the others in what will be a massive event for everyone.
Whilst all eyes will be on Tiger, and the young guns of Rory Mcilroy and Ryo Ishikawa, keep an eye out for Danny Lee, this is a young lad going places.
