Early one for me here. No Premiership this weekend except this postponed match between Pompey & City. Bellamy & Given saved City in their previous match, where dangerous Boro could have scored at least once. Given he is utterly charismatic and City got themselves a really good keeper. Is he enough to ensure a clean sheet though?

The answer is probably not, as City is a really strange team. Some stars, some 'wannabee a star some day' & on top of that some crazy owners. City are not doing well on the road and I can't blame them. Players know they are being judged at this transitional season with no clear target. Some City players won't be there next season and now that Scholari left Chelsea, it is very possible that Hughes won't match the ambitious owners plans as well. I mean it is obvious that City have talent, but for some reason they are not giving their maximum..Who knows..Robihno..Scholari..

Pompey were desperate for a win under Adams. They gave a good game vs Liverpool, went twice in front but they eventually lost to some venom shot of Kuyt and some magic from Torres. So what? Still Pompey have a great squad; they will get there eventually. Adams trusted Nugent in front and he rewarded him with a goal. Liverpool is just a great team, there was nothing wrong with Portsmouth's performance. Although Crouch will remember not to back bass carelessly for quite a time. It is a lack of confidence that is all over Portsmouth now.

Maybe the new signing striker Gekas could be of some help. He has not been involved in previous matches, so his morale is not affected, he has electric pace and confident finish; I think that Pompey won't be able to hold on him for long..The other Greek International Basinas had a satisfying performance vs Pool but it was obvious he plays better at the center of the midfield than on the sides.

I am gonna back up the home boys to come triumphant, because I think they -want- it more than City. You should see the frustrated Adams kicking the bench when Pool equalized. He was made redundant as well due to the ongoing recession..Luck has been a bit harsh on Pompey, hope it shines for them this time. In case of draw I get my money back and I think this is a really REALLY good bet as I can't see past the draw on this fixture, therefore the high stakes..I reckon by Saturday we might see a -1/4 AH on the home side instead of level ball..Good luck to those who follow me on this one..
