Blue SQ Premier - Oxford v Lewes
Oxford have been amazingly inconsistant this season and up until there current good run hadnt managed more than 2 back to back wins all season, that said they havent lost more than 2 games back to back either this season. With plenty of sides as inconsistant as the next its easy to see why Burton are so far clear and about a dozen sides still have play off hopes. Oxford seem to have turned the corner since a Boxing Day defeat to Salisbury, a run of 5 straight victories was ended with a draw last time out at Cambridge but even still 16 points from a possible 18 has put them very much in the mix again. Oxford also have a more than impressive home record this season, 10 wins and 3 draws from 15 matches, with 9 wins from there last 10 home matches. Injuries and suspensions have left them a little light up front ahead of this match but Craig Farrell who has scored goals everywhere he has played has been bought in and could get a start today.
Lewes, things seem to be going from bad to worse for Lewes this season, they are currently in a run of 7 straight defeats and have failed to score in any of them matches, In fact the last time they scored in the league was on December 9th. They did manage to beat Oxford earlier in the season, but i dont expect them to record a double here.
Oxford are a little skinny for me at 1.30 but im sure it will get plenty of interest, 2.0 to win by 2 goals or more is more my cup of tea and im getting involved with that.
