WTA - Dementieva v Cibulkova

Dementieva has now extended her run for the year to 13-0 and is a strong favourite to match in 14 later this evening. She is in a great run at the moment but my only concern for her is she has started quite slowly in plenty of matches this year to suggest Cibulkova isnt without chance of putting pressure on her. Dementieva has been taken to a tie break in the opening set in 2 of her 3 matches here so far and went 6-4 in the other, she has trailed in enough matches this year so i wouldnt write Cibulkova out of nicking the 1st set here.

Cibulkova took her opening 3 sets here at the Australian Open without dropping a game, 6-0 6-0 6-0 aint a bad way the start a 'slam' It shows too that she can get quickly out of the blocks and into her stride. She wont be intimidated either ahead of the match, the h2h record reads 1-1 at the moment. Cibulkova took a set in the 1st meeting and won the 2nd 6-4 6-2.

I think Demetieva's class will eventually shine through here but think Cibulkova can give her a game, im happy to take Demetieva 2-1 in sets at 4.0 tonight.
