Super League - Ergotelis v Panathinaikos

Ergotelis have dropped significantly at the tables, despite their good start; while Panathinaikos are playing really good lately, winning convincingly and scoring many goals. However if u recall Panthrakikos vs Pao few weeks ago, u can remember that the Greens were really vulnerable and if Salpi has not equalized before half time, they will sure have a harder time up north. Moreover Ergotelis managed to win 2-3 at Athens on the 1rst round so they will be looking to 'defend' that achievement.

Hen Ten Cate dropped for no obvious reasons Goumas & Sariegi (his 2 best central defenders this year) while he still doesn't put his faith into Andreas Ivan. & Antonis Petropoulos. Not to mention that Cleyton will probably start from the bench for the visitors limiting their attacking options by losing the Brazilian's creativity.

Panathinaikos is slow & predictable without Cleyton and they will wait for an individual inspiration to go ahead on this one..The home team will play differently now that they play against a strong opponent. Ogunsoto is not in top form but they still have players like Koutsianikoulis, Vakouftsis and Orfanos. Ergotelis have lost 4 and drew 1 out of their last 5 games but they were not that bad. They were creating chances but not converting them. A lack of belief I reckon but they can turn this over if they manage to score today & I think they will; only because they can feel the relegation danger now.

All the pressure falls on the visitors which are supposed to hunt down -9 points from league leaders Olympiakos. Well I should have taken this bet earlier at 1.9 (now 1.83) but certainly it's still worth a shot. If Panathinaikos win this one they will do it marginally 0-1 or 1-2. I really can't see any other results. However if Ergotelis scores anytime then it will be an interesting game to watch & a good bet in the pocket. I totally disagree with the 1.25 line, PAO they are the favorites but not as solid as suggested. Home it is for me. Good luck with your thoughts this weekend!
