WTA - Nadia Petrova v Galina Voskoboeva
Nadia Petrova is a good player with a good serve, i always get the impression though she is never far from putting in a stinking performance. Petrova had a tough battle in round 1 but won in the end in straight sets 6-3 7-6 against Yaroslava Shvedova. Round 2 brought a slightly easier win 6-3 6-2 over Sania Mirza. Its probably the ideal start for a player who has had very little court time this year.
Galina Voskoboeva has been something of a surprise packange so far, In round 1 she upset the odds when dumping out 23rd seed Agnes Szavay in 3 sets. In round 2 she against upset a player ranked higher than herself with an easy straight sets win over Italian Karin Knapp 6-4 6-1.
Yet again we have a match with a very short favourite, So that pretty much knocks out the outright win and the correct score from a value betting point of view. Petrova should win, But as i said above there is always that bad game hanging over her head. The h2h read 1-0 to Petrova and it was a convincing win 6-3 6-0. I do however fancy Voskoboeva to give her a tougher test tonight, the 'total games' line i think is a point in our favour at +6.5 Voskoboeva. I fancy she will be in this match long enough to record at least 6 games and that will be enough unless we get a strange scoring pattern over 3 sets.
