Kaia Kanepi struggled in her opening match against veteran Kimiko Date Krumm before will 8-6 in the 3rd. An easy win over Patricia Mayr followed in round 2 to set up this meeting. Kanepi has served 9 aces so far compared to Safinas 5 in roughly the same amount of games, So you could argue she has the better serve here.
