WTA - Melanie Oudin v Akgul Amanmuradova

My final one tonight before i settle down to watch some tennis, This match though is last on its court so i can probably keep up to speed with it as i eat my breakfast!!

Im going back to what i said earlier about the lack of success the Qualifiers had on day 1 (1win 7loses) and with that in mind i am backing against the qualifier here as she seems too short a priced favourite here.

Melanie Oudin came through the qualifiers to get to round one and her first Australian Open. In her final match she eased past Lenka Wienerova dropping just 3 games, all of which were on her own serve mind!! In the 2nd round got past Catalina Castano 7-5 7-5 although gave up more break points that she earned. She served 8 aces in her match opening against Sunitha Rao in an easy win. There is no doubting she had one of the best records in qualifying but 1-7 on day 1 doesnt fill me with faith in many of them.

At 6ft 3in Amanmuradova is built to be a good tennis player, She isnt the most mobile player around the court though and that is one of her main problems. Disappointing shows in both Brisbane and Sydney coming into this match is probably why Oudin is the clear favourite in this match. As ive said before this is a risky match to bet on but atfer 1-7 we could easily see 0-4 from the qualifiers tonight with a bit of luck. Im on Amanmuradova but its my smallest bet of the night.
