Darts Tournament - Jelle Klaasen v World Championship
Should the young ducth protege beat his elder statsman mentor, then he will no doubt meet Taylor in the final who is a pretty solid 1/2 shot to win the thing outright, but Klaasen is no mug when it comes to the big stage as he showed 2 years ago, when only a kid of 21 he won the "old school" world title of the BDO. And who did he beat in that epic final .........Barney !!!
So as you can see he is not fazed by the big stage or the big names of darts and if he can just up the ante a bit and keep his rhythm going ( he is one of the fastest players in the game), then he will be very difficult to stop.
Now at 33/1 he is of course expected by the bookies to come unstuck at some stage, but I can't see where.
He is due to meet Andy Hamilton tomorrow night and will probably be a slight underdog for that match too as Hamilton is around a 25/1 shot for the title. However Hamilton was just "ok" against Tony Ayres in a 4-2 win over him and I can see the young dutchman having too much for the 41 year old hammer.
I'm going for a big each way bet here, as I want to win a few quid should he get to the final, and if he meats and beats Taylor there, then we will really hit the jackpot !!
4 points EACH WAY Jelle Klaasen to win PDC world darts @ 34.0 with Stan James. 1/3 odds a place 1,2
