Premiership - West Bromwich v Portsmouth
7 December 2008

Rooney (England)
Well Albion had their best game of the season at Wigan. They were mighty, they created chances, they came forward in masses but they were extremely unlucky to go back empty handed. Under other circumstances (Redknapp at Pompey, Brom continued to play bad) I would bet strongly on the away AH for the visitors. But Portsmouth defense has been leaking after magical Harry left the club. Adams he might have been a famous Arsenal defender in the past but as a head-coach he is no-one at the moment and I won't be surprised if he returns to his advisory role.
I think that Brom know now they need to give it all and at least fight their home matches. Pompey striking power is frightening but somehow they can't keep their concentration until the very end of the game. Perfect examples (2-2) with Hull, (3-2 with Blackburn) or even the 3-2 at Germany with Wolfsburg.
I think Brom will play open and attacking on this one. This is what they showed at their last game away to Wigan. The pressure now to get results is immense and as the new year is closing in, no-one at Albion camp wants to see the team struggling at the bottom. None of these contenders will be happy with a draw for different reasons obviously. I am gonna put my money on the over 2.5 goals here grabbing these juicy odds, but I am gonna be careful with small stakes in case of a possible 1-0 or a 1-1 result. Good luck!
