Premiership - Newcastle v Stoke City

Newcastle were 'average' but they managed to get 2 points with 2 goalless draws, in their last very tough away fixtures at Riverside and at Stamford bridge. In both games though they were lucky to see a goal ruled out against their opponents. I didn't like the Magpies in any of them and although Stoke are weak this doesn't mean it is going to be easy for the home boys.

Stoke they are solid, quite disciplined and they have a plan when they come down on the field. They know they go to a venue were people are hungry for 'action' as much as the Romans were at the Colosseum watching the lions and the bloodthirsty gladiators. However Delap cannot be saving them with his strong free-throw everytime. But I am confident that Ricardo Fuller will be a constant threat up front.

Newcastle will miss Ameobi but Mark Viduka may score the winner for them today, as he is trying to get back into form. Owen and Martins will always be a threat up front. I just hope Martins will not still be mad for his replacement (vs Boro) on the last match. His reaction showed how much Kineear is respected but his own team. That is -not- at all..He is a NOBODY and the sooner he goes, the sooner the Magpies will start playing football..

The over/under bets although they offer a better chance of succeeding (50% instead of 33% of 1x2) should be taken in my humble opinion when the odds are attractive. This is a case here with Newcastle under pressure to attack and get all 3 points. Stoke will try to defend and counterattack but if they concede early they will have no options but to go forward. With small stakes I reckon this is definitely worth a shot. I believe this is going to be a narrow Newcastle win (2-1)or a high score draw (something like 2-2 or 3-3)..Good luck with your bets this weekend.
