Super League - Panathinaikos v Thrasivoulos

Well Panathinaikos is in desperate need of the win and they will probably get all 3 points from this one, but Thrasivoulos they are not to be underestimated at all. Let's not forget that the visitors managed to come back from 0-3 at HT against AEK and get a draw! A team that can come back from 0-3 should be never taken lightly. That is why the president of Pao talked to the players before this fixture, in an attempt to boost their confidence and warn them at the same time as well. Panathinaikos is aiming for the League while the visitors will be more than happy to stay on the League as they just got promoted last year.

The home boys will miss their best striker Mantzios on this one and Gkoumas in defense who doesn't have the best of relationships with head coach Ten Cate. The visitors have some absences as well (Tsiolis, Barientos Rokas) but they are always dangerous on the counterattack and I think they will score once against Panathinaikos weak defense.

Certainly the odds are crappy (Betfair offers a more acceptable 1.75 for the same bet-for those of you who are interested) but I really can't see where the Panathinaikos goals are going to come from. Striker Salpingidis if he is going to be used -again- as a an attacking midfielder he is going to an easy target for Thrasivoulos defenders.

I believe that the nature of this match suits Thrasivoulos (defend and then counterattack) and I think that Panathinaikos will just manage to edge them. Possible scores 1-0, 2-1..However I am not sure about this huge handicap..I definitely consider it a 'bargain' and I am gonna give it a go..Good luck!
