Premiership - West Bromwich v Chelsea
3 defeats in our last 6 games ( ok so the Burnley game was technically a draw after 90 minutes, but we still lost the game ) means that there are some shrewdies who are looking past the fancy scorlines against Sunderland and Boro, and looking at a Chelsea side that are inconsistent and not worthy of odds on favourite status for the league at this early point.
That is of course a load of old bollocks as Chelsea are still top of the table by a whopping 14 goals difference from Liverpool. The big away wins we have carved out have gone somem way in helping this, and we have still yet to drop a point away from the bridge, and have only conceded just the solitary Robinho goal at Eastlands.
The baggies are up next for Chelsea, and like when we got beaten by Roma and Liverpool, pity the side who faces the lion on the backlash. Hull 3-0 and Blackburn 2-0 were the results after those 2 defeats, so it is likely that Chelsea will triumph again, and score a few in the process. It will be interesting to see who big Phil starts with at the back as Alex and Riccy are out, so it could be Ivanovic that starts with JT in the centre, and I imagine it wil lbe a midifeld 5 of Obi, Lamps, Deco, Malouda and Kalou. The big question is who will start up front Drogba or Anelka. My choice would be Anelka as he is in such red hot form at the moment, and after we go 3 up at half time I would then introduce Drogba as he is still short of match fitness. It will be a worry if we have any injuries though as the bench will have such household names on it like Woods, Stoch and Sinclair. Now, it wouldn't be a bad game to blood these youngsters and it would be nice to see some new names on the scoresheet. WHatever the weather, i think we will be too strong for the bottom side tomorrow, and I expect a good old fashioned trousers down darn good thrashing !!
