Snooker Tournament - Marcus Campbell v Neil Robertson
I like Campbell as he shares the exact birthday as myself, and is a gritty scot that has been the model of consistency over the last few seasons. Granted he has never been the shining light of world snooker, but with Robertson falling out of the elite top 16, and with his current performances being poor, I think we have a good bet here.
Robertson has won just 1 match in his last 3 tournaments, and tha twas 5-4 against someone who he should have beaten to nil. He has faltered at the first hurdle in the other 3 tournaments and comes here in poor recent form and poor overall form. The same cannot be said for Campbell though as he got through the first round here 5-0 ( admittedly against cannon fodder, but you can only beat what's put in front of you ), but more importantly he knocked in a maximum 147 break, which if no one else makes one will make him £22,000 richer for doing so. Now, when you consider he earned "only" £20,000 for the whole oif last season, he will look at this as a massive boost to his confidence, and take an awful lot of pressure off his shoulders for the rest of the tournament which will surely only help him play a better more relaxed game, and against a player that is struggling for form, there is surely only 1 winner.
